Shipping & Ordering

Shipping Timeframe

We ship all online orders placed during normal business hours within 72 hours from the time order was submitted. Orders placed after 3:00PM CST will be processed the following business day. Orders received on weekends and holidays will be processed the very next business day. If we are unable to ship your order on time, you will be contacted by phone or email. Note: We are not responsible for Courier delays. Once an item leaves our location, it is in the hands of the courier. To "estimate" the amount of time it takes to ship to your location, view the chart below.

Please note:

The map above is a general representation of transit times for FedEx Ground shipments to commercial destinations. In limited areas, transit times may differ between shipments to commercial and residential destinations. For specific transit time information from one ZIP/Postal code to another, please go to Get Rates & Transit Times under the Ship tab on fedex.com.

FedEx Ground business days are Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). FedEx Home Delivery business days are Tuesday through Saturday (excluding holidays).

Example: A package shipped via FedEx Ground on Monday with a transit schedule of 2 business days, (not including the day the package is shipped) would be expected for delivery on Wednesday. A package shipped on Friday with a 2-day transit schedule would be expected for delivery the following Tuesday.

Shipping & Handling Charges

Shipping & Handling charges vary with shipping destination and products ordered based. On the order form, your total will include the products ordered, shipping and handling, and sales tax, if any.

Note: The above map is for illustration purposes only. To determine guaranteed delivery, please use the FEDEX Ground transit time calculator, using 78216 as the starting destination zip code.

Shipping Companies

We use DHL/Airborne Express ground services as our standard courier because they offer our customers the best value and service for their money.

Customer Contact Information We cannot ship to a P.O. Box address. Please provide the physical address where you are available to sign for the package. Please use the phone number of the address provided. You may provide an additional daytime number, but no cell phone numbers please. For customers that want their product shipped to a different address than billing address, please call the customer service number on the back of your credit card and have the card issuing bank list a "Ship-to Address" in the comments or notes section of your account. If your bill-to and ship-to information are different, your order will be subject to verification. This is for your protection and will prevent someone else from using your credit card.

Sales Tax

By law, we are required to charge Texas customers a sales tax of 7.25% on all items.

Cancellations & Returns

You may cancel your order only if the order has not yet been shipped. To cancel, you must e-mail us at orders@pinatazone.com or call us at 830-557-2265 during normal business hours, with your order number, as soon as possible. You will receive a response informing you whether your order is eligible for cancellation or not. Custom pinata orders cannot be cancelled and are deemed final. To avoid confusion, please be sure that you have allowed extra time for courier delays before ordering your pinata. Thank You!

How do you fill the piñatas?

1. All our pinatas come with a clearly marked label that locates the filling tab. To open filling tab press gently on it. Use a box cutter or scissors if you are not able to open it with pressure. 2. Lift the lid towards you and fill the opening with candy and toys favors. Remember to use party favors that will not break when they fall to the floor or chocolate candies that will melt.

Do pinatas come filled?

No, but we can fill your pinata for you. To do so you need to do the following:

1. Purchase our pinata stuffers with your pinata order.
2. When you have added all items to your shopping cart, click on "Proceed to Checkout". You will be directed to our ordering page. Towards the bottom of this page you will find a "Comments" field. Please write "please fill my pinata" in this section and any other instructions that you would like.

Can I order a custom pinata to match my party theme?

We can custom make you a piñata in any shape or form! To have your pinata custom made you must do the following:

1. You must fill out our online form or provide us with the following information by e-mail:

description of your pinata
quantity, dimensions and color(s)
date of the party
your name, address, city, state, zip, email and phone number.

2. You need to provide us with an image of what you want your pinata to look like in one of the following file formats: jpg, jpeg, tif, gif, png, PSD, ai, PDF. Please send the a image file to customs@pinatazone.com or fax it to 830-557-2265.

3. You will receive a quote for your custom made pinata within 24 hours after receiving your request.

How do you play the traditional game?

You need:
1)Party Pinata
2)Candy & Toy Suffers
3)Pinata Buster Bat & Blindfolded
4)Rope and a place to hang your pinata like: tree branch, basketball hoop, beam or anything that's strong enough to hang your pinata from.
5)Adult supervision is always required at all times.

Instructions:
1. If you have already filled your pinata, tie the rope from the loop found at the top of the pinata.
2. Pass the rope over the branch or hoop, leaving the pinata hanging from one end.
3. An adult must hold the other end to pull the pinata up and down.
4. Have kids make a line. KIDS MUST BE AT LEAST 15 FT AWAY FROM THE PINATA AT ALL TIMES!
5. Blindfold the first participant and give him or her the pinata buster bat. Each child will have several chances to hit the pinata before their turn is over and the next participant is blindfolded.
7. All kids should have a turn to swing at the pinata before starting over.
8. When the pinata breaks open, all kids will try to collect as many candies and toy favors as they can from the ground. Kids should have candy bags ready to put in their toys and candy in.

All of our pinata products are in-stock at all times to ensure hassle-free transactions.

Can I place my order over the phone?

Yes, you can place your order by phone. Just call us at 830-557-2265, Monday thru Friday between 8 am to 6 pm CST.

How long does delivery take?

1. Orders received and confirmed before 3pm CST can be shipped on the same day. If products are not in stock, we will promptly notify you be e-mail.
2. If your order is received after 3pm CST it will be shipped from our warehouse on the next day, so allow for extra time.
3. As soon as we process your order we will send you an e-mail confirmation that will contain important shipping and tracking information so please be sure to use a valid e-mail address at time of order.
5. We offer the following shipping methods:

DHL Ground shipping: takes up to 2-5 days within the Continental U.S. and up to 10 for Canada. DHL 2nd-day: takes 2-3 days, except if order is placed on non-business days like Saturday & Sunday. FedEx Overnight: takes 1 day after order is processed.

How do you play the pull ribbon game?

1. You need:
a rope
a tree branch, basketball hoop, beam or anything strong to hang your pinata from it.

Instructions: 1. If you have already filled your pinata, tie the rope from the loop found at the top of the pinata.
2. Tie the other end of the rope to the branch or hoop.
3. Pull pinatas come with a secret trap door at the bottom and 20 or 30 ribbons hanging from the bottom. Just one of the ribbons is attached to the trap door and will open it when pulled.
4. Have each kid pull a string one by one or all at the same time. When the "lucky" ribbon is pulled, all the goodies will be spilled out!
5. Let kids pick up the goodies that fall to the floor and put them in their loot bags to take home.

I had purchased a monsters inc pinata for my sons 4th birthday. When I came home one night I noticed a HUGE box, at first I didn't know what it was until I read the name on the outside. It was from pinata zone. I thought the box was going to be filled with a bunch of shipping material so it wouldn't be damaged, low and behold the pinata was the same size as the box. I took it out of the box and it was the same size as my 4 year old. He loved it!! As I sat in amazement I notice in the back it was ripped. Now, I went from amazement to panic mode because his party was a couple of days away. The next morning I called and not only did I talk to a customer service rep, but to the owner herself. I told her my situation and on how wonderful the pinata was but it was ripped and his party was in a couple of days. She told me not to worry she will ship one out that same day overnight and I would have it my Thursday. She told me when the delivery guy came to give him the ripped one. ! Well, Wednesday I get home and notice another big box. They were a day early, (which was great) but now I had 2 big boxes in my house! I called her back the next day and she told me where I could go to send it back, and they would handle the charges and shipping costs. Well, the day of the party everyone was amazed at the pinata, the all thought it was a doll I had standing in the corner, until I told them what it was. When it came time to do the pinata game, I was even more impressed because each kid (about 10-15) including the older one hit this thing about 5 times each and it still wouldn't break. When last year I purchased one at a party supply store and my son since it was his birthday got to go first and he broke it. Anyway, I know I'm going on too much about this, but this pinata was worth every single sent and next year I will be getting another one from then and I told everyone I know about pinata zone.
